Fort Greene park, which is situated along Washington Park Street which was originally built and designed for the American revolutionary war and the War of 1812. The communities which surround the park started using the park as public space after the Threat of 1812 ended. The space was officially declared as a park (Brooklyn's first) by 1847.

Over two hundred years later the park still mantains its glory with a basketball court, playgrounds, and tennis courts, not to mention enriching events, sloping hills, and majestic trees, makes this a place a magnet for visitors all over the world.
